A sculptural 1980s/early '90s piece in deep, blood-tinged amethyst, this sleeveless vintage dress is cut from richly textured jacquard with an almost molten crinkle finish. The fabric catches the light like candle wax on polished stone. Quietly decadent. The shape is fitted through the bodice and hips, falling into a tapered midi-length skirt with a back slit for movement.
It layers beautifully (as shown here with our brocade puff-sleeve blouse), but commands just as much presence worn alone, with bare shoulders and a knowing look.
